Pop-up boxes are becoming popular for blogs and websites. Some hate it; some love it. What should you do? Try it for yourself. You won’t know what your audience will tolerate until you try and test it out. When I say ‘test it out,’ I mean looking at the numbers.
First, find a widget that you like with a design that fits your blog and/or website.
Second, create your call to action. Your call to action is what you want your readers to do. Think of something that makes your readers or clients jump at the offer to give you their email address. I have several tips on how to make this happen (want to know more? Email me using the address provided below).
Third, track your numbers to see what your audience will allow. I recommend you track them for at least 3 months.
If you find that pop-up boxes work for your audience, then keep them going. If you are collecting emails from people that want to hear from you, then you are doing a great job.
