Have you heard this question all over Instagram? “What should I post on Social Media?”
Well, I want to tell you that I have heard the same question and it’s time for someone to really answer this question!
So let’s dig in really quickly.
Instagram is actually one of my favorite social media platforms to hang out on every day.
So you can guess talking about Instagram is extremely fun and since I’m a total nerd, and trust me I’m going to love telling you just what to post on Instagram.
First, You Have To Ask Your Target Audience what they want to see from you?
See this is one mistake I see small business owners make when it comes to Instagram. They are not asking their target audience what they want to see?
You have to ask them. That is the only way you will know, without having to guess, what they want to see or expect to see from your business.
So go ask like right now! Go on Facebook in one of your Facebook groups and ask them what they would expect to see from your type of business on Instagram.
Okay, go ahead right now and come back to this blog post so you know what to do next.
Okay, Here You Go…. The Only Content You Should Be Posting On Instagram
You have to post what your potential clients want to see on your page. So the key is to make sure your image is beautiful.
Just think about it really quick. When we are on Instagram we are actually scrolling pretty quickly.
We only stop or click like on a photo when the photo catches our attention.
Do you see how you have to think like your potential clients think?
Heck, you can test out what I’m saying now by going onto your Instagram account and start scrolling and notice how many images you quickly pass by.
Now notice the pictures you actually stop and look at or even feel like you wanted to click onto their profile.
Write down what you liked about their image that stopped you in your tracks. Also, make sure you click on their profile and look at all their other photos and see what you like about their profile.
Questions you should be asking yourself, like every time you are about to post on Instagram
- Ask yourself what image would stop my potential client from scrolling past your image?
- What colors would pop off the screen and would catch their attention?
- What Fonts are easy to read if I’m using an image as a quote?
Instagram is really not that hard. It’s just time-consuming. There is a long list of things you have to do to make sure your page grows and engage with your audience.
But what I have shown you is just the start of making sure you have a valuable profile that is actually helping your target market easily choose you to work with instead of the competition.
